About Photographer Casper Lynn

Casper Lynn is originally from Birmingham, Alabama and now resides with her husband, John, in Miami Beach, Florida.  Growing up in cities such as San Diego, Pittsburgh and Mehlinghen, Germany gave her a deep appreciation for the vibrance of multi-faceted cultures and the beauty within the natural landscapes of the world. In 2001, at the age of 23, she bought her first SLR camera and began working with several artist mentors from the nearby Carnegie Mellon University.  It was during these years of shooting industrial buildings and fine art nude studies that she developed her aesthetic and sense of composition, as well as finding her most satisying means of artistic expression.  Later she would also study graphic design and go on to work as a designer and proofreader in the advertising field.  In 2007, she became a full-time wedding and portrait photographer while living in Birmingham, Alabama, then after relocating to Miami Beach she shifted the focus of her photography to study fashion and beauty.  After ultimately finding herself conflicted with the messages being sent within the fashion advertising field, she found a greater sense of fulfillment in returning to her roots in fine art and photojournalistic cultural studies.  She currently plans to further explore and document her amazing city and collaborate with local artists on personal projects.
